Bissell 3106 Featherweight Upright Vacuum Review

Bissell has been a family owned corporation for over 130 years with the focus on creating the world's best cleaning tools. From the company's inception in the mid 1800s to today the focus continues to be to design cleaning tools that keep our homes their cleanest.

The Bissell 3106 Vacuum meets that challenge and is a delight to use. As the name suggests, it is lightweight. This is wonderful, considering despite its light weight it effectively cleans. A lightweight solution makes this a welcome addition to the routine cleaning of both hard surface floors and carpet.

The Bissell 3106 Featherweight Lightweight Vacuum can be used as a floor vacuum, a hand vacuum or a multi purpose vacuum when utilizing either the crevice tool or floor nozzle. I personally use this Bissell 3 Way Featherweight vacuum with the floor nozzle on ceramic flooring. The floor nozzle and crevice tools also work well when vacuuming steps.

The power cord on the vacuum is approximately 15 feet long providing adequate coverage for cleaning an average kitchen area or flight of steps.

The handle of the Bissell 3106 is removable via a release latch. Releasing and detaching the handle from the vacuum unit is very easy. I do this when emptying the Dirt Container for manageability. Reinstalling the handle is also easy by just aligning the handle with the opening, inserting, and closing the latch.

The crevice tool and the floor nozzle insert at the opening of the dirt container by pressing firmly. Removing either of these two attachments is also easily accomplished.

Clearing the dirt container consists of depressing the latch located on the top of the dirt container and pulling it separate from the base. After emptying the container, it may be rinsed and washed. The manufacturer recommends the dirt container be completely dry before
reassembling.

The vacuum uses cloth filters. These are available in packs of 2 or I have located some in multiple packs. The best thing about the filters is that they can be rinsed or washed, replacing only when the cloth tears, thus saving money.

In all, I have found this vacuum to be ideal for our daily kitchen use. It collects dog hair well, as well as every day leaves, dirt, and food crumbs. Emptying and reassembling the dirt container is easy and efficient. The product performs well, collecting small and medium items with one pass. The power cord is a good length and the attachments are very effective. I also like using the hand vacuum with the floor attachment on my steps thus avoiding managing the large upright vacuum on flights of stairs.

Having and using the 3 Way Featherweight Bissell 3106 vacuum is a complete delight.
